Lance Cpl. Juston Thacker Foundation

The LCpl Juson Thacker Foundation has been established as a 501c public charity, with the objectives to provide educational opportunities for Mercer County WV youth along with patriotic promotion honoring our veterans. We provide a scholarship for each county high school. In the fall, we have the " Patriotism and the American Veteran " 5th grade essay contest. Through out the year we have various informative patriotic programs involving interaction between veterans and elementary children. Our inspiration comes from a quote from Juston Thacker in April 2004, before his last tour of duty in Afghanistan. " I am only one person but I think I can make a difference." We too believe we can make a difference one person at a time.
